Göllheim is perfectly adorable. I don't think there was a tourist (other than us) for miles. Sorry, kilometers.
What's more perfectly adorable than goats?
Less adorable, but still infinitely cool: there are coffins from the Roman Empire in the middle of town. About 200 yards from where we stayed. Just hangin' out. One of them is a planter now.
Incidentally, to get to Göllheim from the airport, we took the Autobahn. I took this last photo through a car window.
Not bad for a point-and-shoot, and a girl who's only photographic trick is to use the "macro" setting.

So beautiful! Our stay in Germany was so short but looked a lot like that! No goats, but dogs in restaurants!
Did you go purely as tourists?
We went for The Awesome husband's cousin's confirmation (which is a big cultural event over there, kind of like a graduation there). That took up one day, so we had another six days to hang out and see what we could see. With local tour guides.
And yes, dogs in restaurants! We saw several with their people at outdoor tables. German law apparently changed recently, so they aren't allowed inside anymore. One place had a sign on the door with a picture of two dogs with the caption (in German) "we wait outside."
There was one ANGRY rottweiler in a yard that we walked by, but otherwise all the dogs we saw were remarkably well behaved. Lots of loose leashes!
